The Ocoee is best known for its part in the 1996 Olympics, when it hosted the canoe and kayak events. Since then, its non stop action and warm water have made the Ocoee River the most popular white water river in the country. Offering 10 miles of white water the Ocoee has something to offer everyone. Guests can choose from two different rafting trip options. The Middle Ocoee River and the Upper Ocoee River.
Ocoee River Rafting Trips:
The Middle Ocoee Rafting winds its way thru the Cherokee National Forrest. This Section of the Ocoee has almost continuous class III & IV whitewater. The Middle Ocoee River is a half day trip.
The Upper Ocoee Rafting is highlighted by the whitewater course built for the Olympics. This course is still rafted on during our Ocoee Combo Trip. The Ocoee Combo Trip is a full day on the river. The Combo combines the Upper Ocoee River and the Middle Ocoee River. A hearty grilled riverside lunch is served halfway down. During the summer months the Ocoee Combo is our most popular trip so advanced reservations are recommended.
All equipment and transportation are provided for rafting trips. All rafting trips are fully guided, so no experience is necessary. The minimum age for the Ocoee River is 12 years old.
