Ocoee River Rafting
Ocoee River Rafting serves up big waves and continuous action making it the most popular white water river in the country. Located just north of Blue Ridge, Georgia in Eastern Tennessee the Ocoee River is the perfect white water rafting destination for rafters coming from Atlanta, Blue Ridge, Murphy and Ellijay.
The Ocoee River has two awesome whitewater section to raft, the classic Middle Ocoee River and the Olympic Upper Ocoee River section. The Middle Ocoee River has fast moving class III-IV white water packed with over twenty continuous rapids. It starts with the technical Grumpy rapid and ends with the awesome Hell’s Hole and Powerhouse rapids. The Upper Ocoee River was the host of the 1996 Olympic Games whitewater events. It offers a truly unique rafting experience with big whitewater in both a remote and manmade section. For an incredible full day adventure you can opt for the Ocoee Combo and experience both sections of river, ten miles of white water, with a grilled riverside lunch.
The Ocoee River is dam controlled, which insures that we always have a constant reliable flow. The main Ocoee River Rafting season is from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with the Middle Ocoee running five days a week and the Upper Ocoee running on weekends. During spring and fall the river runs on the weekends only.
We have flexible trip times to fit a busy family schedule. No experience is necessary as all Ocoee River adventures are fully guided and completely outfitted. At a minimum age of only 12 years old, the Ocoee River is perfect for beginners and experienced rafters.
Family owned and operated we have the highest standards of quality, safety and service. When you raft with us you are rafting with family. So plan on visiting us this season and let us show you the best the Ocoee River has to offer with our team at Carolina Ocoee.
Our Ocoee Rafting Outpost is located in Ducktown, TN.
