Holiday Express – Blue Ridge Scenic Railway

Join Holiday Express 2022 for a one hour Christmas excursion. This train ride is a short 20 minute drive from Carolina Ocoee white water rafting. Enjoy music and listen to “The Night Before Christmas” story. Sip hot chocolate and eat snacks available in their concession car. Children will get a Christmas themed activity pack and a chance to greet Santa on this magical ride.

Mountain Country Christmas in Lights

Head out to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds (about a 45 minute drive from Carolina Ocoee whitewater rafting in Ducktown, TN) from November 24 – December 23, 2022 for a Mountain Country Christmas. The fairgrounds turn into a spectacular Christmas-themed lightshow. Christmas music, arts and crafts, food, fun, entertainment, photo opportunities, and a visit with Santa Claus are just a few of the events.

Riverwalk Christmas

In the heart of the Copper Basin, also known as the Ducktown Basin, spend some holiday time at the Riverwalk Christmas event. Enjoy  riverfront dining, boutique shopping, and the largest entertainment venue in North Georgia. When shopping is done, relax on the area’s largest river deck, or take a stroll on the steel truss bridge that connects two states (Georgia and Tennessee) where the Toccoa river meets the Ocoee river.

Christmas in Ducktown 

On December 03, 2022, join Ducktown, Tennessee for Christmas in Ducktown. Enjoy the tree lighting and Christmas parade to kick off the holiday season in this bucolic little town where people come to whitewater raft in the summer, leaf look in the fall, and enjoy small town life in the winter. Ducktown is less than a 30 minute drive from Blue Ridge, GA.

Light Up Blue Ridge & Christmas Parade

Light Up Blue Ridge is on November 25th and 26th. Kick off Blue Friday on November 25th which includes downtown merchants store discounts, Christmas holiday cheer, food vendors and strolling entertainment. Visit the Gingerbread Village from November 25th – December 12th (open until 3:00 pm) where they have a gingerbread house contest. This year they have over 95 houses! Welcome Christmas on November 26th as Blue Ridge is lit up with Christmas lights. Enjoy the Christmas parade, lighting of the tree, and pictures with Santa.

Holiday Pavilion
